Spring 2017 Fashion Trends: The Off the Shoulder Top

Introducing a new series focusing on Spring 2017 Fashion Trends. With an industry that’s rapidly moving onto the next best thing, I’d like to focus a spotlight on trends that I know will last a couple of seasons, trends that are just too good to pass, and how to incorporate these trends into a style that suits YOU.

I love that the off the shoulder top trend is continuing its way into this coming season. Here are some reasons why they have become my current obsession:

1. They are the perfect transition piece. You can find off the shoulder tops in both short sleeves or long sleeves, as summer wear or as sweaters. Although it’s basically summer already here in California, some parts of the world are still feeling that winter wrath.
2. Off the shoulder wear is extremely versatile. You can find them as tops, crop tops, or even dresses.
3. They can double as a scoop neck for more conservative occasions.
4. They serve as statement pieces all on their own! All you have to do is add an accessory or two, and you have a whole outfit.
